My Passion

When I say "my passion" I truly mean it. I have a passion for taking photos. I always have a camera with me. I love memories. I don't want to miss a thing. This all started back when I was in 6th grade. I thought I was so neat just to have a disposable camera and I was constantly taking pictures of my family & friends. This evolved into a real camera (I mean one that doesn't go into the trash can when done using) that used film. I thought I was on top of the world. And then came the digital camera. Wow! Was I happy! That worked great for me for years. Then I had my sweet baby girl in November 0f 2007. And my obsession with taking pictures just got worse, times 10!! She was changing every day and I didn't want to miss one single moment of her life. With that, I entered the world of blogging. So you can only imagine how I was. Posting something new every single day...that was me! I am that girl! As I was blog hopping one day I ran into a photo blog that I just fell in love with. Her name is Julie Parker and she is absolutely amazing. You can see for yourself here. She inspired me. And she still does to this day. There are so many talented photographers out there, and they all are very inspiring, but when I saw Julie's blog, I decided to take my love for photography to the next level. I somehow talked my husband into letting me get an SLR camera (it wasn't hard to do. He is so supportive.) I started setting up props and backgrounds and practicing on my new baby girl. I was in heaven!
Two years later, I am still obsessed. I will forever love taking photos. It is something I enjoy doing. With that being said, I have made a few New Year's resolutions. One of them being to "refine my talents". I always wanted to take some photography classes, but the timing was never right. I knew I would eventually. Well Julie Parker had a spot open in her 2 day photography workshop and it's next week! You can only imagine how high I was jumping for joy when I got an email from her. I can't wait to learn how to actually take photos. I have known I needed some improvement, so this is what I have always wanted. Be prepared to see lots of new and improved photos! Happy New Year!
